Electrochemical hydrogen compression (EHC) will provide pressurized hydrogen to the bio-based methanol synthesis by conversion of CO2 in the CONVERGE project. HyET Hydrogen has succeeded in finding the optimum membrane and electrode technology for the EHC module that will function as depicted below. The membrane resistance has been reduced in order to meet the energy demand target.
